Frequently Asked Questions:
Q. How do I keep my new shower door clean from water spots?
A: There are several products on the market to keep a shower clean but why waste time and money on that when you can actually treat the shower glass during production with a surface protectant. The glass’s surface is permanently sealed during manufacturing with a patented ion beam process. It is a good idea when ordering your shower door glass to pay the extra money because of its benefits. Unlike spray-on or wipe-on treatments that eventually wear off, the surface protection 10 is part of the glass itself, so it never needs to be re-applied and cleaning is minimal for several years. In fact, The manufacturer warrants that Surface Protection will remain water repellent for a period of ten years from the date of the receipt provided by your installer.
Q. I am a homeowner and I have a double pane window but only one pane is broken, Can I just replace the one pane?
A: No, it is not recommended. Because a double and triple pane window has gas in-between the panes it is always best to replace the whole window sash, otherwise your window will have moist air trapped in between the panes and it will cause a fogging and corrosion problem.
Q. I am a homeowner and I have a double pane window that has condensation, what causes this and how can I prevent this from happening? Also, how do I get rid of the condensation?
A: The glass used in a double-pane window is insulated and has a barrier of air or inert gas between the two panes of glass. When the seal that surrounds the glass is broken moisture can get into the window and cause condensation. You can prevent but not eliminate condensation by removing the sources of moisture from your home and improving your thermal performance of the window. The only true way to get rid of the condensation is to purchase a new unit that is well insulated.
Q. I am a homeowner and I have a window that leaks. What could be causing this?
A. This is usually due to inefficient windows. Usually the solution is resealing the window; however in some cases it is best to replace the whole unit depending on the severity of the leak. All estimates are free so we would be glad to take a look at it for you and determine which option is best for you.

Very good work Johnny on the spot still. And very professional in what they do. Called other glass companies and could not get any one to help us. Thanks GLass Tech for another job well done!!!!
Called Glass Tech, they showed up before they said they would. They were in and out quick, everything looks perfect. Now I need to keep my boys from throwing a baseball at my back window. THANKS GLASS TECH..
Perfectly cut glass with exactly what I asked for in odd sizes and shapes. 5 star results. Took a star off because it took more than twice as long for them to finish than they said. It's worth the wait if you need something done perfectly and at a good price.
A note from our Customer: G.B. Shelburne " Best experience I have ever had with a glass company, thank you so much for the work you did as well!" G.B. Shelburne, Lubbock Texas
Quick, responsive, and affordable repairs to windows on my house.
The guys at Glass Tech did a GREAT job for me! They came out and installed our shower doors, installed a couple of windows, and custom made a large piece of glass to cover my dining table. The owner came out to make sure everything was measured and installed properly, which was impressive. They were efficient and showed up as scheduled. I am very pleased with their work! I will be calling them again.
fast great place and cheap great work for any kind of glass
